My Tootsie Roll may still be little (she's 8), but she has a huge heart. She is known for making donations to those in need, including most of her Easter goodies every year to a local shelter, completely her own idea. When she was in kindergarten, a classmate of hers was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. He returned to school when the kids were in first grade and most of the boys in the class shaved their heads in support of his return. T-Roll chopped about a foot off her hair back then and donated it to
Locks of Love, where it was used to make a wig for someone who has lost his/her hair due to illness. Now, two years later, her friend is (thankfully!) in remission and Tootsie decided it was time to donate her hair again. I'm so proud of her giving nature.
