Oh, the Shame.

First of all...  ok, I know you were all being nice to me because the end of the year was a little crazy with school and the car accident and TR's pneumonia, but jeez, Bloggy Miyagis, one of you could have mentioned to me that my new profile pic totally looked like a snot.  (!!!)  I was trying to update since my old picture was kind of... old... but since I am usually the one behind the camera, I don't have many pics of me.  So I snapped a quick one and posted it without paying much attention other than it wasn't fuzzy.  And then yesterday I actually looked at it.  EW!  Next time I post such a smarmy pic, someone please tap me on the shoulder and kindly whisper in my ear.  Or yell in my general direction from your far-off state, whatever.  It's best for both of us, really.  So until I come up with a decent picture that is more like me (although I am tempted to post a pic like this, since this is so obviously what I am like:) I have ousted SnotPic for a dangerous pen.
Anyway.  While I was searching for a flouncy Cinderella pic, I came across these pics from the Rochas Fall 2006 runway collection because the person who posted them happened to mention that they reminded her (him?) of Cinderella:
Look at that bird detailing!  I am in love.  I totally wish I had these dresses.  Can you say MOCKINGJAY???  These would totally be Katniss approved, no?  And anyway, zombie models.  I mean, come on.  This runway show was obviously made completely of WIN.

Love the runway pics and the Hunger Games reference...seriously, how many more days do we have to wait for Mockingjay?????

And I don't remember your pic looking all smarmy! :-)

I know, I seriously need a Mockingjay countdown! :)

Glad you averted your eyes during my brief interlude of smarm. ;)

LOVE that you saw the "mockingjays" on that dress:) Clearly Katniss approved. On a side note, August cannot come quickly enough for the third book!

Have I mentioned I just love the way you think?? Zombie models. Beautiful dresses. KATNISS?? You're awesome. I have a little something for you at my blog, BTW so stop by when you have a chance.

Oh no, I missed the photo and now I'll never know if you're exaggerating! Those dresses are incredible, but I think I'd be mistaken for a whale in that colour, and I might get harpooned. Ouch.

I didn't notice that your picture was particularly snotty. ??

Oh well, how many people actually like pictures of themselves? Zero!

Shame on me! I forgot to tell you! I awarded you today:)

Oh my goodness, Kelley and April, stop whatever you are doing right this instant and go get Hunger Games and Catching Fire (the sequel) and while you're at it, preorder Mockingjay to save yourself the trouble. :)

Misty & Lisa Gail... yay! It's getting closer! Thank you both for the lovely awards... wait... I have to award 15 people EACH!?! What is this madness! Sigh. The perils of awesomeness. ;)

Sarah - trust me, you didn't miss a darn thing. A bloody pen is a much better option, I promise.

Hannah - So true! And now I'll be self conscious trying to find a new one. Oh, the humanity!

Man . . . like I'm real sorry! Whoever made that 15 person rule should be shot! And I totally didn't plan ahead with Lisa!

*Giggle* Oh dear, now I am atrociously ungrateful. I should just quit while I'm ahead. Or not a head, now that my photo is gone.... *grin*

I blame the spammer!

Misty Waters said...

LOL, not ungrateful . . . more like, wide-eyed and suddenly realizing how large 15 REALLY is? I feel ya! That's why I'm hoarding most of them for later.

Oh, and, stupid spammer! Begone!!

Hunh? I never noticed anything about the photo - I thought it was nice! I hate all photos of myself though, so I understand.

Love the dress pics!

Happy Monday.

I didn’t see the photo. Darn. That would have been fun.

I think the model need a tiny bit more eye liner.

Alleged Author said...

I think the model needed fake blood dripping from her temple. Would give it more zombie feeling! :P

Ooooh, Southie ... she's coming for you... BRAAAAAAIIIIINSSSS!

Hunger Games on the runway - who would have guessed? :)

Now I'm trying to think what you pic looked like. I certainly don't remember anything horrid!

Those are pretty dresses.

I missed your pic.

I'm very particular about my pics. I take forever to decide which one I should use.

I wish wish WISH that I could read Hunger Games! Alas, Lyon doesn't exactly have an english bookstore with a wide selection of YA, so I'm stuck waiting till september. *tear*
Anywho, those dresses are awesome. :)

OH TOTALLY Katniss approved!! LOVE THEM! WANT!!

So sorry to hear about everything piling up on you. And CRAZY about the credit card stuff. Our number was stolen about a month ago too, but they didn't set up a new account. That sounds like an absolute mess!

I hope everything calms down very soon!
